The breakfasts were a highlight, featuring a delicious variety that catered to vegetarian and vegan preferences, setting you up for a day outdoors. The room was spotlessly clean and tastefully decorated, creating a cozy atmosphere after a long day of hiking.
The room was a bit small, making it slightly cramped for two travelers with gear, which might be an issue for those planning longer stays. The shower had its quirks. it used an electric in-line heater, so don’t expect a strong flow—more of an adequate drizzle than a power wash, really.

Cranford Guest House in Braemar welcomed me warmly. The breakfast spread was impressive, with a variety of delicious options. It set me up perfectly for a day of hiking. The location is superb for exploring local trails, offering breathtaking mountain views. The room was cozy and clean, though a bit small for extended stays with gear. I loved the charm of the place, but the shower could have been more powerful. Still, the hosts were friendly and informative, enriching my stay with local tips. Free cookies in the room were a delightful touch!

In my wife’s opinion, the room was a bit cramped.

We were greeted with warm chocolate cake after arriving, which was a nice touch! The cozy lounge and lovely garden offered perfect spots for relaxation. My only small issue was the shower could use a little more pressure, but it didn’t put a damper on our lovely stay. Don't miss out on those fantastic breakfasts!
